This single-family neighborhood of 26 homes is located within a mixed-use, smart city development south of Boston in Weymouth, Mass.
The challenge was to introduce a plan that would maximize space and privacy and create a captivating outdoor living environment.
Detached garages serve as architectural dividers between the homes and allow for uniquely designed and private outdoor living spaces for each home.
The triangulated open layout of the kitchen, great room and dining room promotes efficient use of space and maximizes views of the conservation land.
The stooped front porch coupled with a neighborhood pocket park enhance a sense of community and maximize outdoor living space.
The Stratford prompted judges to comment:
