As green design comes to the forefront of master planning, traditional resort towns such as Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach and WaterColor offer valuable lessons. These towns are known as models for compact, walkable and diverse neighborhoods, but they are also among the few built explicitly environmental communities, incorporating and implementing green development practices before they were popular or required by regulation.
Presented by Galina Tachieva, DPZ CoDESIGN. Galina Tachieva, Managing Partner at DPZ CoDesign and author of the “Sprawl Repair Manual”, will discuss shifting market trends that are driving an urgent re-thinking of current residential development patterns. This “next frontier” reimagines and reorganizes single-use development into complete, livable, robust communities. The program will discuss design and implementation techniques at various scales, including reducing regulatory barriers, and offer a practical step-by-step path toward a better suburb.

As a follow-up to findings from an in-depth research study, Napoleon partnered with award-winning architect Wayne Visbeen to develop the latest design trends and specific ideas that enable you to design more appealing homes and rooms.
